Minnesota Roofing
Roofing in Minnesota is a contact sport. Our roofs face the widest temperature swing of any state in the lower forty-eight, humid summers past ninety and winters past thirty below, plus hail seasons that insurance adjusters describe in hushed tones. A roof that survives here is built differently, installed differently, and inspected differently.
The enemy list is specific. Ice dams form when attic heat melts snow that refreezes at the eaves, so ventilation and ice-and-water shielding are not options, they are the religion. Spring thaw tests every valley and flashing. Summer hail tests surface toughness. Wind uplift tests every fastener. We design for all four seasons because we live in all four.
Material choice follows climate. Steel and stone-coated systems excel at shedding snow and resisting hail. Premium asphalt with proper underlayment serves well when budgets lead. Flat commercial roofs need membranes and drainage engineered for ponding. There is no single best roof in Minnesota, there is a best roof for your building, your block and your budget, and finding it is our job.
Twenty-plus years of Minnesota installations taught us one humbling lesson: the weather always gets a vote. We build so that it votes yes.
