Metro Roofing Newsletter — Issue 01

Welcome to the very first issue of the Metro Steel Roofing newsletter. Twice a season we will share what our crews are seeing on rooftops across the Twin Cities, answer the questions homeowners send us, and pass along maintenance tips that save money. Thank you for reading along.

This issue's topic: the spring inspection. After Minnesota's melt, your roof is telling you a story. Look for shingle granules collecting in gutters, flashing that has lifted at the chimney, and dark streaks on the south slope. Any one of them is worth a free inspection call. Catching a lifted piece of flashing in April costs a fraction of the ceiling stain it causes in June.

Crew notes: our teams completed three church steeples and eleven residential replacements this spring, including a satisfying standing seam install on a lakeside cabin where the owners watched the whole first day from their pontoon. The foreman reports the pontoon audience applauded the ridge cap.

Until next issue, check your gutters, admire your roofline, and remember: the cheapest roof repair is always the one you make before it rains.
